Black diamonds
It was my first film. We decided to shoot on S16mm, both for stylistic reasons and for the nobility of analogue. The entire film was shot almost entirely with available light to emphasize realism and give the actors freedom of movement during the scenes. Visually, we also chose to evolve the cinematographic language as the story progressed. At the beginning, when everything was filled with hope, we favored wide-angle lenses and low angles, leaving space above to show the sky. As things started to go wrong, long focal lengths and high angles became dominant, creating a sense of claustrophobia.
